Core Beliefs
- We believe that Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 28:18)
- We believe that Christ's primary agenda is to glorify God by advancing His Kingdom through making disciples of all nations. (Matthew 6:9-10; 28:18-20)
- We believe that Christ's key agent in this task is the local church. (Ephesians 3:9-11)
- We believe that nations are discipled as the church makes the invisible Kingdom visible by faithful obedience to God's Word throughout culture—in every area of life, and every sphere of society, including the family, the community, the arts, sciences, media, law, government, schools and businesses. (Colossians 1:15-18)
- We believe that to accomplish this task, the ministry of the church must be wholistic—reflecting Christ's redemptive concern for "all things." Wholistic ministry is ministry to the whole person (spiritual, physical and social) and all of their relationships (with God, with others and with the environment.) (Colossians 1:19-20)
- We believe that to accomplish this task, the ministry of the church must be solidly based on God's inspired infallible, powerful and authoritative Word as recorded in the Bible. We believe that the discipleship of nations requires that Christ's followers allow the biblical worldview to enlighten every area of their lives, and carry it outward into every sphere of their society. (John 17:17)
- We believe that prayer and seeking God's will are essential to fulfilling his purposes. We believe that we can do nothing in our own strength, but when we seek the Lord’s will and purpose in our hearts to carry out his plans and relinquish our lives to the control of the Holy Spirit, then we can accomplish much (John 15:5)
