SHILOH STUDENT MINISTRIES

Shiloh Community Church Student Ministries' mission is to bring the love of God, and the truth of the Gospel, to all students for the glory of God.

Our Student Ministries Department is divided into Junior High Fuel (JH Fuel) for 7th & 8th graders, and Senior High Fuel (SH Fuel) for students in 9th through 12th grades.

Junior High Ministry

At Shiloh Community Church, we recognize the spiritual, emotional, mental, social and physical changes that take place in Student’s lives. As a result, our Junior High Ministry is designed with those needs and changes in mind. Our Student Ministries Pastor, Tim Unfreid, desires to "fuel" our students' passion for God and for Christ-like love towards others through all Junior High ministries.

Shiloh's Junior High Ministry is for all 7th and 8th graders, and is an exciting transition time for our Students here at Shiloh. It is during these crucial years that Students move from imitating their faith to personalizing it in their own lives. We are excited to help students mature in every area of their lives.

We offer many opportunities for students to be involved, regardless of their church background or family situations. We strive to create an atmosphere of acceptance, and making each student feel comfortable, whether they are new to the church, or have been coming for years.

Each quarter, we publish a calendar which details our activities for that quarter. We also communicate special information through various fliers and handouts. Current calendars and informational fliers are available during every Junior High event. CLICK HERE for this quarter’s calendar (pdf format).

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES

Sunday Mornings

Junior High Sunday Morning Fuel meets from 9:00 to 10:15 A.M. upstairs in the Community Center. This morning service is a great opportunity to bring friends and meet new people. As you come upstairs, you'll be warmly greeted by our Team Welcome; be ushered into our student game room where you can brab a little bite to eat provided by Team Breakfast; meet students and have an opportunity to build friendships by playing pool, ping-pong, fooseball, video games, or just hang out on the couches for a few minutes! After our connect time, we'll have a time of worship led by our own Student Worship Team and then using teaching, video and drama to get "fueled" through God's Word! Also available, in conjunction with our Sunday Morning teachings are "Parent's Pages" (click here) which can be used to facilitate follow-up questions and discussions with your Jr. High Student.

Wednesday Nights

Junior High Wednesday Night Fuel meets from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. in the Community Center. This is our mid-week meeting filled with team building games in the gym, a time of worship, and an opportunity to go deeping in Community Groups. Community Groups are led by loving adults who challenge students to grow deeper in their faith and in love. Community Groups are made up of 3-5 students with an adult leader.

MONTHLY ACTIVITIES

Scream

The second Wednesday Night of each month finds Junior High students in the Community Center Gym from 6:30- 8:30 P.M. This activity is designed for Junior Highers to have a night of "screaming fun" through friendship-building, games and general, over-all fun. Bring a friend and let loose!

Element 3 Student Leadership

Element 3 Student Leadership (E-3) is designed to equip our students for leadership in the church and in the community. The three elements we stress are 1. Love God; 2. Love your church; and 3. Love the people in the culture in which you live. E-3 meets monthly on the 4th Friday night of the month from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. in the Community Center, and the students participate on various student ministry teams.

Monthly Outreach Activities

Each month, we plan an activity outside of the church for students to invite their friends to. These activites are designed to create an welcoming and informal environment, and are outlined on our calendar.

SHILOH MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
