4th-6th Grade

Merge  is designed to help students discover who Jesus is, who they are, and how they fit into God’s story. Students engage in weekly worship, interactive lessons, and prayer in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. Parents are provided weekly lesson points to continue with Biblical conversations at home, in an effort to help assist in discipleship throughout the week. Above all, it is the primary objective of Merge to see students of this age group follow the two greatest commandments: love God, and love other people.

merge /merj/ verb

1. Combine or cause to combine to form a single entity.

Synonyms: join together, join forces, unite, team up, link up, unify, integrate, knit, yoke

2. Blend or cause to blend gradually into something else so as to become indistinguishable from it.

Synonyms: mingle, blend, fuse, mix, intermix, intermingle, commingale

What this means for the ministry:

  • We merge with God through a relationship with Jesus

"But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him." - 1 Cor. 6:17

  • We merge with each other to be the body of Christ

"For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another." - Romans 12:4-5

Submerge is a time to help take students deeper, or "Submerge," in their walk and faith in Jesus. The evenings are themed with a lesson and games to provide active illustrations of the Gospel. Submerge is also meant to deepen friendships and build community amongst students of this age group. Submerge is typically held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 6:30 – 8:00pm, but please see the Shiloh calendar for exact dates.

Emerge - The spring semester Emerge is a time of coaching and preparation for the Mother's Day performance.  Students will be part of a team environment where they will learn and develop musical talents and skills, build friendships, and have fun expressing their love for God.

Emerge is typically held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6:30 – 8:00pm, but please see the Shiloh calendar for exact dates.
