     Silva, Jay and Rose

    • Association for International Ministries (AIM)
      • Leading short term teams to Mexico and Brazil to evangelize, minister to human need, disciple believers into churches, and to equip churches to fulfill Christ’s commission
      • Phoenix, AZ

    Background/ Ministry

In 1996, God gave to Jay and Rose Silva, the desire to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people in Rocky Point, Mexico. They began taking food and other supplies to the people who lived in the poor part of the city known as Colonia Oriente. In 1999, the ministry grew to include the building of a new church (Templo la Hermosa) and Carlos Gracian began as pastor. The church has become a true source of hope to the community-proclaiming the message of God’s love. The ministry has now grown to involve many other people and churches in the U.S. joining the monthly trips that has included the distribution of food, clothes, outreach efforts to tell of Jesus, free medical clinics providing doctors and medication, and the building of new homes or repairing of existing houses for families of the area. People in this area often have little or no food. Many live in small, dirt floor houses that have no electricity or running water.

Jay and Rose also minister in Brazil, serving the people along the Paraguay River. By taking teams on mission boat trips with the local churches in Corumba, Jay is reaching out to the lost. They have built a medical clinic, Hospital Bom Pastor, that operates five days a week, and are now working with Christian Foundation for Mission Youth in Brazil running Bible camps for youth.
