Making disciples who love God, love His church, and show His love to the world!
Men's Ministry
For men to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, it is helpful to have guys in our lives that provide both encouragement and challenge along life's journey. Shiloh's Men's Ministry disciples men to love God, love His church and show His love to the world. We strive to help each man fulfill this purpose through social events, Bible studies, and accountability relationships.
Annual Men's Retreat
Our annual men's retreat is scheduled for May 14-16, 2010 at Lost Canyon Camp in Williams, Arizona. We will once again be joining men from other churches in the Valley and will be challenged to live transformed lives by God's Power. Our speakers for this year's retreat are Tom Shrader & Bryan Loritts. The cost of the retreat is $150 with discounts available for high school and college students. The impact will be priceless! Click here for an informational brochure or click here for a registration form. Forms and additional information are available through the church office.
Connecting & Social Events
Quarterly Breakfast - Each quarter, the Men's Ministry enjoys a time of fellowship, sharing, and ministry . . . not to mention great food. Each gathering includes a speaker who challenges us to better understand and apply God's Word to our daily lives. Join us upstairs in the Community Center and introduce your friends and neighbors to our ministry and our church. Our next breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 8:00 AM. The cost of the breakfast is $5.00. Additional details will be available soon.
Quarterly Kayaking - Each quarter, families head to a local lake and enjoy God's creation and one another while kayaking. Men from the church provide all the equipment, and create an environment that makes it easy to meet and connect with each other. Plan on joining the next fun-filled adventure in March, 2010 at Rattle Snake Cove at Bartlett Lake.
Bible Studies
Thursday Night Bible Study - Our Thursday Night Men's Bible Study is a tremendous opportunity for men of all ages and backgrounds to join together for encouragement, and to be challenged in our roles as leaders, husbands, fathers and men of God. The study begins at 6:45 p.m. upstairs in the Community Center. Our current study is Focus on the Family's "The Truth Project." This high-quality 13-week DVD-based study is designed to equip each of us with a comprehensive biblical worldview. Each person will be reintroduced to the truth claims of God, and God’s design for living out the Christian worldview in daily life. Most importantly, this series addresses the need to marry our actions to our core beliefs and transforms our everyday lives. There is still time for you to join us in this study.
Accountability Relationships
Discipleship/Mentoring - Do you want to grow in your faith but want the security of a one-on-one relationship? Do you want to have someone regularly encourage your individual spiritual growth or provide you with the accountability that you are looking for? As a ministry, we are looking for men who want to be discipled as well as those who desire to disciple others as we strive together in our spiritual maturity. If you would like to be a part of this one-on-one aspect of our ministry, contact Pastor Kevin.
